The Ventilation System Differential Pressure Gauge is built around a stretched-diaphragm or capsule-element movement specifically sized to resolve the very small pressure differences — often only a few hundred pascals — that indicate a loaded air filter, a slipping fan belt, or a partially closed damper long before airflow drops enough to be noticed by occupants. Two connection ports on the back of the case allow the gauge to be piped across a filter bank, coil, or fan to display the differential directly rather than requiring the reading to be calculated from two separate absolute-pressure gauges.
Unlike a standard Bourdon-tube pressure gauge, whose mechanical leverage is too coarse to give useful resolution below roughly one bar, the diaphragm or capsule element in this instrument amplifies tiny pressure differences into a readable pointer sweep across the full dial arc, giving building engineers the sensitivity needed to catch gradual filter loading trends over weeks rather than discovering a problem only after airflow has already dropped significantly.
Every diaphragm assembly is leak-tested and calibrated in our 100,000-level clean workshop, where the low-pressure element's zero point is set under controlled, draft-free conditions to guarantee accuracy at the low end of the scale where most filter-monitoring readings occur. Calibration data for each range and port configuration is logged in our Advanced MES digital tracking system against the unit's serial number for full traceability.
A surface, panel, or duct-mount case style is available to suit installation directly on an air handling unit door, a remote control panel, or in-line in ductwork, and an optional integral switch contact allows the same gauge to trigger a building automation alarm the moment differential pressure crosses a pre-set filter-change threshold, turning a passive indicator into an active maintenance-scheduling tool.
