The Polypropylene Housing Diaphragm Pressure Gauge is designed for process lines where the media is chemically aggressive but the pressure is modest, a combination that describes much of the chemical dosing, electroplating rinse, battery acid, and fertilizer handling work carried out in light industry. Polypropylene is inert to a very wide range of acids, bases, and salt solutions, does not rust or pit, and costs far less than Hastelloy or tantalum, making it the practical choice when pressures stay below about 6 bar and temperatures below 80°C.

The gauge uses a flexible diaphragm captured between two molded polypropylene half-housings, with the process side connected through a threaded or hose-barb port. The diaphragm itself is a PTFE-faced elastomer or thin PTFE film, and the sealed chamber behind it is filled with a clean liquid that transmits pressure to a Bourdon tube movement inside a polypropylene or ABS case. Since no metal contacts the process fluid, there is no corrosion product to contaminate the stream, which matters in electronics rinse and high-purity chemical lines.

Every unit is assembled in our 100,000-level clean workshop, where the molded housings are checked for flash and surface voids before sealing and the diaphragm chamber is vacuum filled. Resin lot, diaphragm material, fill fluid, and calibration results are stored in our Advanced MES digital tracking system against each serial number, giving buyers a clear record of exactly which plastics are in contact with their chemical.

Compared with an all-metal diaphragm gauge, the polypropylene model trades pressure and temperature capability for chemical breadth and economy. It is not intended for hot solvents, strong oxidizers such as concentrated nitric acid, or pressures above its rating, and a clear selection table is supplied so engineers can confirm suitability before ordering.
