Product Introduction

Precision instrumentation engineered for industrial air compressor pressure gauge applications

The Industrial Air Compressor Pressure Gauge is installed on compressed air receivers, compressor discharge lines, and main headers where it reads the pressure that powers an entire plant. Typical industrial systems operate at 7 to 13 bar, and the compressor's pressure switch cycles between a cut-in and cut-out value. A gauge that is accurate and easy to read lets crews check these settings, confirm that the receiver is within its safe working limit, and detect slow leaks that cause excessive compressor cycling.

The gauge uses a 100mm or 150mm dial with ranges of 0-16 and 0-25 bar, so the working pressure sits comfortably mid-scale. A glycerin-filled case damps the strong pulsation of reciprocating piston compressors, while screw compressors with smoother output can use a dry version. A red marker at the receiver's maximum allowable working pressure provides an immediate safety reference during inspection rounds.

Each gauge is assembled in our 100,000-level clean workshop with a brass or stainless Bourdon tube and a bottom or back connection in 1/4 or 1/2 inch threads. Range, damping type, red-line marker, and calibration are stored in our Advanced MES digital tracking system against each serial number, supporting compliance records for pressure vessel inspection programs.

Different from the small pneumatic gauge fitted to machine regulators, this model is a plant-level instrument: larger, filled, and designed for the heat, condensate, and oil carry-over that exist at the compressor and receiver. A condensate-resistant stainless option and an optional siphon accessory are available for hot discharge lines.

Technical Highlights & QC

Every unit validated for zero-defect performance

  • Pulsation Rig Test: Filled gauges are tested on a reciprocating compressor rig to confirm steady reading.
  • Red Line Position Check: The marker is verified against calibrated pressure to confirm correct position.
  • Oil and Condensate Exposure: Samples are exposed to oil and water to confirm materials are unaffected.
  • Case Leak Test: Filled cases are inspected for leaks under temperature.
  • Linearity Sweep: Each unit is stepped through the range to verify accuracy class.
  • MES Serial Tracking: Range, red-line, fill type, and calibration data are stored digitally against each unit's serial number.

Environment & Media Compatibility

Engineered for demanding operating environments

  • Piston Compressor Pulsation: Glycerin fill and restrictor reduce needle flutter.
  • Hot Discharge Lines: Siphon and heat-rated options protect the movement.
  • Compressor Room Heat: Case and window tolerate warm plant rooms.
  • Oil Carry-Over: Wetted parts and seals resist compressor oil.
  • Condensate Moisture: Stainless options tolerate water drained from receivers.
  • Plant Vibration: Rigid mounting and fill reduce reading disturbance.

Pro Tips for Longevity

Installation & maintenance best practices

  • Choose Range Above Cut-Out: Select a range so cut-out pressure sits at about two-thirds of full scale.
  • Mark the Receiver Limit: Ensure the red line matches the receiver's data plate.
  • Use a Siphon on Hot Lines: Fit a siphon where discharge temperature is high.
  • Drain Receivers Regularly: Condensate can corrode the gauge connection.
  • Verify Against Pressure Switch: Check gauge reading against the compressor's cut-in and cut-out settings.
  • Replace Damaged Gauges: A bent pointer or fogged window means replacement.

Payment & Logistics

Reliable global supply chain from factory to your site

  • Flexible Payment Terms: We support T/T (30% deposit, balance before shipment), L/C at sight for large orders, and secure B2B trade assurance platforms for new customers.
  • Global Freight Options: Sea freight from Ningbo or Shanghai for bulk orders; DHL, FedEx, or UPS air express for urgent sample and small-batch shipments.
