The housing sealing structure is the core component of the overall sealing system of the pressure gauge, and usually forms a first sealing barrier between the metal housing and the transparent window or the meter cover. In traditional mechanical pressure gauge, static sealing is often achieved by thread tightening and elastic sealing ring. Common sealing ring materials include EPDM, silicone rubber and fluoroelastomer. These materials are widely used in various pressure gauges due to their excellent elasticity and water resistance. For high-end products, the design may be designed with a snap-on fastening structure and a double-channel sealing ring design to enhance its compressive resistance and seal redundancy.
In order to further improve the overall sealing strength, some products are sealed at the shell joints and edge-coated packaging is used with industrial-grade sealing glue to effectively prevent the penetration of trace water vapor, thereby avoiding the risk of internal parts being damp or rust. This design not only improves the reliability of the product, but also extends its service life.
The interface sealing structure is essential for the connection of the Water Purifier Pressure Gauge to the water purification equipment. The structure needs to withstand dynamic water pressure and frequent disassembly and assembly operations, so its sealing performance must have high strength durability and reuse capabilities. Common interface structures include thread seals, O-ring compression seals, tapered metal seals and plane gasket seals. Thread seals are usually used in combination with polytetrafluoroethylene sealing tapes, suitable for metal-to-metal connections, and have excellent sealing and anti-loosening ability. O-ring seals are mostly used in quick plug connector structures, sealing through axial or radial compression, and are widely used in plastic materials or composite interfaces. The conical metal seal forms a high-pressure seal through the close contact between the two metal surfaces. It is suitable for industrial-grade high-pressure water purification systems and has the advantages of high temperature and impact resistance. The flat gasket sealing structure is suitable for large-diameter interfaces because of its simple design. The material of the sealing gasket can be made of PTFE, rubber or composite materials, which has good adaptability.
Breathable structural sealing is a key design to solve the problem of fogging or reading errors caused by air pressure changes inside the pressure gauge, especially in oil-filled pressure gauge. Such structures usually use breathable valve components with microporous filter membranes to achieve unidirectional emission of gas through semi-permeable membrane materials such as ePTFE or PVDF, while effectively preventing the entry of liquid and water vapor. The position of the breathable hole is generally arranged on the back or top of the case, and combined with an embedded sealing ring or welding structure to ensure a close bond with the case. This design not only maintains the balance of atmospheric pressure inside the pressure gauge, but also does not affect the overall sealing performance. It is a key component to improve reading clarity and internal environmental stability.
